Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · Version 1.0

Please note: This policy has been prepared in good faith and is pending formal legal review before launch.

This policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions. It explains how to cancel and when refunds apply. It distinguishes Business Customers from Consumers (individuals acting outside their trade or profession), because Consumers have additional statutory rights.

1. How to cancel

You may cancel your Subscription at any time from Settings → Billing, or by contacting [email protected]. On cancellation, your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the Subscription will not renew and your Account moves to read-only access (see Terms section 13 for data retention on cancellation).

2. Free trial

The 14-day free trial requires no payment card and incurs no charge. If you do not subscribe by the end of the trial, your Account simply moves to read-only access — there is nothing to cancel or refund.

3. Business Customers — refunds

Except where a refund is required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial-month or pro-rata refunds. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.

4. Consumers — 14-day cancellation (cooling-off) right

If you are a Consumer, when you first take out a paid Subscription you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, without giving a reason.

  • If you ask us to start the paid service immediately (within the 14-day period), you may do so, but you acknowledge that: if you then cancel within the 14 days, we may charge you a proportionate amount for the service you used up to the moment you told us you wished to cancel; and once the service has been fully supplied within the period and you acknowledged that your right to cancel would be lost on full performance, the cancellation right no longer applies.
  • To exercise the right, tell us clearly within 14 days — email [email protected] (you may use the model cancellation form in the Appendix). We will refund any amount due within 14 days of being informed, using the same payment method, less any proportionate charge for service already provided at your request.

This cooling-off right applies to the initial subscription. It does not create a new 14-day right on each automatic renewal; renewals are governed by sections 1 and 3.

5. Annual subscriptions

Annual Subscriptions are paid in advance for the 12-month period. Cancellation stops the next annual renewal. Beyond the Consumer cooling-off right in section 4, mid-term annual cancellations are not refunded for the unused period unless required by law.

6. Billing errors & service failures

If you believe you have been charged in error, or the Service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, contact [email protected]. We will investigate promptly and put right anything we have got wrong. Consumers’ statutory remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by this policy.

7. Founding Member rate

If you cancel a Founding Member Subscription, the locked Founding rate is lost and is not guaranteed to be available again (Terms section 14).
